Orange County deputies continue their search for a suspect who escaped from the Dr. Phillips Hospital on Wednesday.
Investigators say, the suspect had been involved in a grand theft of cash earlier, in a store located at 8135 Vineland Avenue. A worker who chased the suspect out of the store, was beaten and the man escaped into a wooded area.
A K-9 was able to track the suspect and he was arrested. But investigators said, he suffered a medical issue and lost conscious during the arrest process.
Shortly after the man arrived at Dr. Phillips Hospital, he fled as is still at large. Â The suspect’s name has not been released
Dr. Phillips Hospital was put on lockdown for 40 minutes, but is now re-opened.
