A man believed to be responsible for stabbing his parents multiple times in their Deltona home on Sunday, was taken into custody last night in Hernando County.
Thomas Fey, 28, was captured on Tuesday night after deputies successfully deployed stock sticks to disable his vehicle along State Road 50. The vehicle Fey was driving was first spotted in Orange County by an Oakland Police Officer, but he sped away into Lake County, through Sumter County and into Hernando County.
Investigators said, Fey stabbed his parents, 54-year-old Theresa Fey and 60-year-old Thomas Fey, multiple times on Sunday evening, then fled the residence at 3215 Hyder Avenue in their Jeep Grand Cherokee vehicle. Both parents were taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, where Thomas (father) underwent emergency surgery. Theresa and Thomas Fey have since been discharged from the hospital and are continuing to recover from their injuries.
Thomas Fey (son) has been charged with two counts of attempted first degree murder and one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle. He was booked into the Volusia County Jail.
It is unclear what sparked Fey’s violence on Sunday night.
