Deputies are searching for a man who sexually battered a woman in a wooded area near Valencia College Lane and Frontage Road on Orange County’s east side.
The woman told investigators she was walking on the side-walk around 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, when an armed man exited the wooded area. Â The suspect grabbed the woman and dragged her into the wooded area and sexually assaulted her. Â The man fled on foot in the direction of Valencia College Lane.
Deputies, Chase and K-9s searched the area but met with negative results. Â Detectives from the OCSO Sex Crimes Unit canvassed the area much of Sunday night and again throughout Monday looking for additional evidence.
The suspect is described as a light-skinned Hispanic male, about 24-30 years old. Â He is about 5′ 7″ to 5′ 9″ tall, and weights about 170 pounds.
