UPDATE 1: 06.30.10/3:30 PM – Orange County Homicide Investigators have identified the man found dead in his Deauville Drive home last night as 64 year old Sidney Shepard. Detectives have declined to release any other details pertaining to Shepard’s demise, however they have determined that his death is the result of a homicide.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the suspicious death of a man whose body was found on Tuesday night, in a home on Deauville Drive, off North Pine Hills Road, Orlando, a statement from the Sheriff’s Office said.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office:
At approximately 6:51 PM today the Sheriff’s Office received a request from a family member to check on the well being of an elderly male who resided at 4813 Deauville Drive, Orlando. Sheriff’s Deputies and Orange County Fire Rescue responded to the address, entered the home, and found the body of a man inside and evidence suggesting that the death is suspicious.
Deputies secured the home and contacted homicide investigators who responded to the scene. Detectives obtained a warrant before entered the home and began their investigation. They have confirmed that the death appears to be suspicious but declined to release any additional details.
On Wednesday morning, deputies had still not released the identity of the deceased, as the investigation continues.
