Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of a man who was shot and killed in the parking lot of a restaurant on East Colonial Drive on early on Sunday morning.
According to OCSO:
Deputies responded to a shooting at the Chito’s Restaurant at 5649 East Colonial Drive around 1:09 am on Sunday, August 8. Upon arrival, detectives found a victim in the rear parking lot of the restaurant with a gun shot wound. The man was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center where he expired during surgery.
Detectives have not released any details regarding the shooting at this time.
The victim is a 31-year-old black male. Detectives have not identified the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
Deputies are continuing with their investigation.
