An exchange of gunfire inside a home in Apopka during a home invasion, has left one suspect dead and another at large.
Orange County Sheriff’s deputies were called to 18th Street in Apopka, after two suspects entered a home and attempted to tie up a man inside. Â The man’s wife grabbed a gun and exhanged gunfire with the suspects, shooting one of them dead. Â A neighborhood who heard the shooting came to the defense of the couple and fired off rounds as well.
The woman was shot in the arm and taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment, cfnews13.com reports.
Investigators are continuing their search for the second suspect, who fled the scene.
Deputies have not released the identities of those involved.
