Orange County deputies have identified the elderly couple found dead in a home on Orange County’s East Side on Saturday.
The deceased are, Dolores St. Myer, 80 years and Jerome St. Myer, 78.
Jerome St. Myer’s death has now been ruled a suicide by the Medical Examiner, investigators said.
Dolores St. Myer’s death has been ruled as undetermined, pending further tests, however, there are no signs of homicide.
The St. Myers were found by family members in a home in the 6500 block on Pompeeii Road, off Reddit Road, around 11:00 a.m.
Investigators also said, the suspicious circumstances at the scene were the presence of dispersed fuel in the residence and a fire that had self-extinguished itself inside the residence.
The investigation to date indicates there was neither forced entry into the residence nor any other signs of any suspect activity resulting in these deaths, authorities said
There is no threat to the community and suspects are not being sought, the Sheriff’s Office said.
