Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a robbery of the toll booth at Hiawassee and the East West Expressway early this morning.
According to OCSO:
At approximately 4:00 am on July 6th, a male suspect approached the toll plaza at Hiawassee and East West Expressway in a vehicle. The suspect implied he had a firearm and demanded money from the toll booth attendant. The attendant complied, and the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Detectives from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Unit are investigating the incident.
Investigators have not released a description of the suspect or the vehicle was being driven.
