A suspect who stabbed another man early on Wednesday morning has been arrested.

Jonathan Black--suspect

Deputies said, 29-year-old Jonathan Black has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and grand theft of a motor vehicle.

Investigators responded to 2814 Kinlock Drive around 7:00 am, after receiving a 911 call regarding an aggravated battery with a knife.

The caller told investigators that his neighbor was stabbed by a known male, later identified as Jonathan Black.  Black fled in the victim’s vehicle.

Deputies searched the area for the vehicle and located it at the intersection of State Road 50 and Chickasaw Trail.  The vehicle was followed for a short distance and deputies observed the suspect bail out into a wooded area near Stratford Boulevard and Lady Joe Way.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the area and a K-9 was deployed.

Black, realizing he was surrounded with no way out, called 911, advising he wanted to turn himself in.

Investigators said, the victim was transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center and is in stable condition.

Deputies have not released the name of the victim.

The investigation is ongoing.
