A man who was reported missing from his Sanford home, was found dead in a wooded area on Thursday, Volusia County deputies said.
24-year-old Brian Robinson died from trauma to his body, but the cause of death is not being released at this time, deputies said. Following an autopsy, the medical examiner ruled Robinson’s death a homicide.
Robinson’s body was discovered in a wooded area near 1699 Osteen Maytown Road by a passerby just after 5:30 p.m. He was reported missing by his family Thursday, and investigators believe that his body was found within hours of the homicide.
The investigation is continuing.
