Deputies Ask for Public’s Help in Finding Person-Of-Interest

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Leesburg Police department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person-of-interest in connection with two separate bank robberies.

Person-of-Interest

On November 5th, the Wachovia Bank on 400 West North Boulevard in Leesburg was robbed around 2:45 pm.  Three subjects wearing hoodies, with faces covered entered the bank.  At least two were armed with hand guns and the suspects approached two of the occupied tellers demanding cash.   The third suspect remained at the entrance of the bank acting as a look out.  The tellers complied with the armed robbers’ demand and handed over cash.  The suspect left the bank on foot.

Based on their investigation, detectives believe it is possible that the bank was cased by one of the suspects approximately 10 minutes prior to the robbery.    A subject stood in line waiting for a teller, looked around and when he got to the teller station asked only for some deposit slips.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the person-of-interest is asked to call Crimeline or the Orange County Sheriff’s office.
