Orange County deputies have recovered a 4-year-old child who was driven away by an unknown suspect, as she sat in the family car at the corner of Deauville Drive and West Colonial Drive.
Deputies say, the father of the child and others had stopped at an outdoor eating establishment around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, for something to eat, when an unknown suspect jumped into the vehicle, and sped away.
Shortly after deputies began a search for the missing child and stolen vehicle, a 911 caller reported a child matching the description at the corner of Mercy Drive and Colony Cove Way.
The child was positively identified and reunited with her parents.
Deputies have not released a description of the vehicle, except to say, neither the suspect nor vehicle have been found.
