Volusia County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the Saturday night shooting death of a DeLand man and are seeking potential witnesses who may have information.
Deputies responded to a 911 call around 10:45pm Saturday reporting the incident. The caller found the adult male victim unconscious in the front yard of 808 S. Massachusetts Ave. in DeLand.
It was determined the Central Florida victim, 50-year-old Hector Hernandez Pasquale, had been shot. He was pronounced deceased on scene.
No suspect is in custody at this time. Detectives are actively investigating and pursuing potential leads.
