It was a decisive victory for Florida Republican Senator Rick Scott over his Democratic challenger Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, and now he declared his next goal.
After his big win, Senator Rick Scott delivered his victory speech at his election night party in Bonita Springs. In his speech, Senator Scott celebrated Florida’s success and thanked volunteers and supporters for their hard work to deliver a huge win.
The Republican Senator said Floridians made their voices heard and they stand for freedom and want nothing to do with socialism. Democrats are surely very disappointed and frustrated to lose against Rick Scott again, someone they have challenged aggressively since he first ran for Governor.
“I’m honored to serve as your Senator for another 6 years! Today, we begin the fight to Make Washington WORK Again,” Florida Senator Rick Scott said.
Senator Rick Scott received about 55.57% of the vote, compared to 42.78% for the Democrat.
Now, Rick Scott is turning his attention to the race for the next Senate Republican Leader – where he committed to working tirelessly to “Make Washington Work for ALL Americans,” regardless of their background just like in Florida.
As Senate Republican leader, Senator Scott pledged to bring Florida’s winning conservative record to Washington and be a true ally to President Donald Trump and his agenda.
