A death investigation is ongoing after a body was found next to the road in Central Florida.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation near the intersection of Lula Street and Cedar Street in Gibsonton, south of Tampa.
Last week, local deputies arrived on the scene for reports of a body next to the road at approximately 7:00am.
At the time the news was announced by HCSO, detectives were still working with the Medical Examiner’s Office for a cause of death.
This is believed to be an isolated incident and no threat to the public, according to local law enforcement.
