Deadly Shooting at Central Florida Waffle House Investigated

A deadly shooting at a Central Florida Waffle House is being investigated after a late-night argument led to a man dead with a gunshot wound.




The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at a Waffle House in Riverview near Tampa.

On November 2nd just after 3am, HCSO’s Communications Center received a call reporting a shooting at a Waffle House located at 10041 US Highway 301 South.

Upon the deputies’ arrival, they found an unresponsive 60-year-old adult male with a gunshot wound to his upper body. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Through investigative means, detectives learned a suspect and the victim got into a verbal altercation, which ended up with the victim being shot.

“We are committed to holding those responsible for such reckless violence accountable,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We urge anyone with information that could help identify the suspect to come forward.”
