Former Democratic Sen. Mandy Dawson entered a guilty plea to tax evasion charges today in federal court in Miami. Dawson, who represented Fort Lauderdale in the Legislature for 16 years, was swept up in a broad federal probe of influence buying in Tallahassee.
The investigation was mostly centered on now convicted eye doctor and lobbyist Alan Mendelsohn.
Mendelsohn said in court that that he funneled money to Dawson in exchange for her not blocking his legislation.
The devil is a liar! Mandy never got huge sums of money from any lobbyist. I don’t know about the tax question.
