Crowning the King

Twitter, Facebook heck the Internet might crash. It’s official the “self proclaimed” king has finally earned his thrown by winning his first NBA Title.

James became only the third player in NBA history to record a triple double in a Finals close out game, the other two were Magic Johnson and Tim Duncan.

LeBron finished with 26 points 11 rebounds and 13 assists leading his Miami Heat to a deciding 121-106 game five win, closing the Thunder out in four straight games after dropping game one.

“It’s about damn time,” James said after being asked how he felt.

Nine years, three regular season MVP’s, a decision and multiple heartbreaks later, James is finally able to call himself a champion.

“What they goin’ say now??” Bosh yelled in the locker room while dousing James with champagne.

Mike Miller hit 7of his 8 three pointers last night and finished with 23 points. Not bad for a guy who can barley walk with his bad back.

“I’m just glad I could help my guys get this done. It means the world to me,” Miller said.

“I’m not sure if I’m going to retire, but if I do I couldn’t have gone out on a higher note,” Miller added when asked about this being his last season.

After winning game one at home, Oklahoma dropped four straight and in game five just looked as if they had no fight left.

“It hurts man, it hurts,” Durant said.

The Thunder beat the Mavericks, Lakers and Spurs along the way and now have that growing pain all young great teams go through. Durant, Westbrook and James Harden are all 23 years or younger, so plan on seeing them in many Finals games to come.

Miami became the only team in NBA history to win an NBA title after trailing three playoff series.

The Heat only outscored the Thunder 389-384 over the first four games, but Miami’s role players made sure this one didn’t come down to the last few possessions.

It’s not 7, not 8, but one and from what many saw last night it’s the first of many for this Heat team.

James grew up in front of our eyes. He is not only a champion and finals MVP but a leader that has proven he can get it done on the biggest of stages.
