Demings, Joyce Dawley FDLE, Chris Davis FBI, Chief Paul Rooney OPD, Pastor Frank Thompson – The Worship Center, Dr. Lesia Crumpton-Young UCF, Carol Burkett  Orange County Drug Free Coalition, Jeff Villella- Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Paul Volkerson- Sea World, Harris Rosen- Rosen Hotels and Resorts, many other local community leaders, and Guest Speaker Judge Glenda Hackett.

ETC:     Sheriff Jerry L. Demings continues his efforts to reduce crime through community support by holding the Sheriff’s Community Crime Summit 2010. The Summit will focus on Use of Force, fighting crime in the Tourism Corridor, successful crime fighting and community support in northwest Orange County, and providing at-risk youth with opportunities for personal success.

Guest panelists will attend to offer additional perspective and ideas for additional community support.  Crime overall is down in Orange County and Sheriff Demings is driving for continued success.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has reported a drop in overall crime of 19 percent and a 31 percent drop in violent crime since last year.
