Crime Reduction Operation Nets 44

In an effort to reduce crime in Osceola County, deputies arrested 44 people during a two-day operation last week.

Dubbed ‘Operation Zero Tolerance’ the investigators rounded up the suspects across all parts of the county on June 6-7.

Deputies from all areas of the agency, including aggressive driving, agriculture/marine, aviation, communications, criminal investigations, community response teams east and west, economic crimes, evidence, forensics, tourist policing, motors, K-9, narcotics enforcement team, reserves, robbery, traffic and warrants, worked all areas of the county.

Based on the Sheriff’s Office community-oriented policing mission, the goal was to reduce crime in these areas, while gathering valuable intelligence, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office said.
