Authorities now have in custody a couple wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Jay Stone last Saturday, at the Vizcaya Lakes Apartments in Ocoee.
Thomas “Mike” Heath and his wife, Shanna Heath were found in Cobb County, Georgia.
Authorities say, Mr. Heath was found in possession of Stone’s 1995 Red Chevy TrailBlazer and is being held on a grand auto theft charge.
Mrs. Heath is cooperating with the investigation, authorities also said.
Stone was reported missing by his parents last Saturday night around 7:00 p.m. Authorities discovered Stone’s body went they went to his apartment at the Vizcaya Lakes off State Road 50.
Authorities say, Thomas and Shanna Heath had befriended Jay and moved in with him on August 15. But, when investigators arrived at the Vizcay Lakes Apartments last Saturday, the couple had taken off in Jay’s Chevy TrailBlazer.
Investigators have not said how Stone was killed.
