Deputies arrested a couple today believed to be accessories in the killing of a 24-year-old man in Azalea Park on Thursday.
25-year-old Roberto Morales-Ortiz and 19-year-old Jennifer Melendez, of Orlando, are believed to be accesories after the fact, in the murder of 24-year-old Jonathan Gonzalez.
Gonzalez was shot and killed on Thursday at 550 Chapel Trace Drive in Azalea Park, just after 2:00 p.m.
While detectives have not revealed details of their investigation, following the shooting a small Sedan was seen fleeing the area.
Investigators also questioned two occupants of a second vehicle near Curry Ford Road and Goldenrod.
Deputies have not said how Morales-Ortiz and Melendez are linked to Gonzalez’ killing.
The pair were booked into the Orange County Jail on Friday afternoon.
Both have been charged with accessory, after the fact, to first degree murder.
Morales-Ortiz is being held without bond.
Melendez’ bond was set at $10,000 and she will be placed on home confinement.
Investigators have not yet make an arrest of the actual shooter(s) in this case.

Johnny was a great guy and a dear friend. I am deeply sadened by his death. I hope these ppl rot for what they did to him

These two KNOW who killed our beloved Jonathan!!! And eventually, somebody’s going to talk. I just pray I see the day where the killers have to pay! He was like a little brother to me, and loved by my kids and famliy. He was a part of our lives that was taken by some degenerates, and I hope they rot in hell.
My heart & Prayers go out to the Family of Jonathon! I know his parents personally, and no parent should have to bury one of their children. I am not a believer of an eye for an eye, but I do believe that God has a funny way of making things happen. I wish for Continuous Prayer, Peace & Forgiveness from the family, and KNOW that Karma is the MOTHER LOAD! And for the rest of their life, these two and anyone else who may have been involved will have an ETERNAL HELL here on EARTH.
I didn’t know him but it hurt me so much to see him get killed the way he did. this was the saddest thing for me i havent slept ever since. this has made a huge impact on me i wish i could’ve called the cops on time :/
I knew Jae personally he was my little brother and i pray to god everyday that roberto, jennifer, and the shooter burn in hell and pay for what they did they took a father away from a little girl that was just born. Hello good afternoon , I wanted to write to the family to allow them to understand when everyone was standing around in a crowd there was right by someone(me) your sons side trying to talk with him and keep him going. I was CPR certified and ran to get my equipment but when i got back with him and ripped open my stuff the officer that arrived on seen (armed) instructed me to back away from him. I felt upset by this and wanted to do my duty as gods child to help him in anyway i could. I know what is is to lose people and this has happen to me personally before with three of my friends…I want you to know i prayed over him so he could obtain a safe passage and allow god to help him. I then spoke with the officer and told hiim what i knew and left with my family after paramedics showed up. God rest his soul, my condolences!
