Counties Partner to Host Annual Hurricane Expo

Join the counties of Lake, Orange, Osceola and Polk for the Fourth Annual Four Corners Hurricane Expo on Saturday, June 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Vista Del Lago Community, located at 14465 Vista Del Lago Blvd. in Winter Garden.

The free hurricane expo will feature informational booths from a variety of agencies, such as emergency management offices, fire departments and disaster volunteer organizations. The expo will also include presentations from emergency responders on a variety of topics.

“It’s important that all residents of Florida are hurricane-ready,” said Jerry Smith, Director of the Lake County Emergency Management Division. “The Four Corners Hurricane Expo will help educate residents not only from our county, but our neighboring counties as well, about how to get ready for hurricane season.”

The Orange County Office of Emergency Management is hosting this hurricane expo for residents of the Four Corners community, which includes Lake, Orange, Osceola and Polk counties. The idea behind the educational event is to have a different county in the Four Corners area host the event each year.
