Around 10:30 p.m., Thursday, police from the Homicide Unit will be distributing flyers related to shooting in an effort to generate additional leads to help solve this murder.

Cannon was shot dead as he left Club Limelite bar around 2:30 a.m., last Friday morning.

Police believe Dino and the shooter argued inside the Club, before the suspect was escorted out of the Club. Detectives also say, the shooter waited outside unti the Club closed and shot and killed Dino in a nearby alley.

Since the murder, the Cannon family has appealed to the public for information and at a press conference last Saturday, a tearful Daphne Cannon, Dino’s mother, described her only son as an “awesome guy and clean.”

Dino, along with his parents and four siblings had come to Orlando from Texas to celebrate his graduation. Daphne Cannon said he had just gone to his first prom and the family recently learned he had received a scholarship to attend college.

“He was a good child. I don’t know who took his life and I don’t understand why,” she said. “But I am asking if you would please, please give us some information so that we might find this person. We need some closure.”

Police say, several people witnessed Dino’s shooting.

Anyone with information should call the Orlando Police Dept at 321-235-5300 or Crimeline at 1800-423-tips. Callers may remain anonymous and be eligible for a Crimeline reward of up to $5,000.
