A gunshot was fired during a burglary of an occupied Downtown Orlando home and police are searching for two suspects.
Orlando police say, around 1:17 p.m. on Monday, two suspects fled the scene of a home at Delaney Avenue and East Copeland Drive, but not before burglarizing the residence.
Police believe the suspects are armed with a machete.
The suspects are described as Black of Hispanic and about 6’0″ tall. The men had their faces covered and wore dark blue long sleeve clothing, police said.
Police and Orange County Sheriff’s deputies are actively searching the area with K-9s and roads in the area are closed, due to a perimeter search.
The occupants of the home were not injured during the robbery, police said.
