A Continental Airlines plane made an emergency landing Monday morning at Miami International Airport after it encountered heavy turbulence.
The plane which was flying from Rio de Janeiro in Brazil to Houston, Texas was carrying 168 passengers and 11 crew. According to sources, 26 persons were injured with 4 in critical condition. Most of the injured passengers suffered bumps, bruises, and neck pain.
The Boeing 767 ran into turbulence some 50 miles North of Dominican Republic, following which it diverted and landed at Miami International Airport.
