Erin Huntley recently announced her candidacy for Florida House of Representatives District 45, saying she is bringing her steadfast conservative values, a commitment to integrity, and the perspective of a dedicated mother and community leader to the race.
“For nearly two decades, I have called Central Florida home, raising my three children here alongside my husband, Eric, and working to make our community a better place for all of our neighbors,” said Huntley. “As a proud conservative and a mom, I know the challenges Florida families face, and I am ready to fight for their future in Tallahassee.”
Huntley’s campaign centers on preserving Florida’s freedoms, enhancing education through school choice and literacy programs, commitment to public safety and ensuring fiscal responsibility while fostering economic opportunities for District 45’s residents. As a conservative outsider, Huntley draws on her extensive experience in leadership and community organization to bring a fresh perspective to the Florida Legislature.
In her role as Chair of the Orange County Republican Party, Huntley spearheaded efforts that energized grassroots activism, shattered fundraising records, and increased voter engagement. Under her leadership, Orange County experienced a historic 9-point Republican shift, the county’s best GOP performance in nearly two decades. Her service as an alternate Delegate for President Donald J. Trump in 2024 and as one of 30 Floridians representing Trump in the Electoral College further exemplifies her dedication to conservative principles and Republican values. Huntley was also recently elected by her colleagues around the state to serve as Chair of the Republican Party of Florida’s (RPOF) Chairman’s Caucus, representing all 67 county chairs to the RPOF Executive Board.
“I’m running for State House to be a voice for the families of District 45,” Huntley added. “I’m not a politician – I spent my career in the private sector and human resources, solving real-world problems and working to make a difference in people’s lives. As a mom of three, I know what is at stake and every decision I make will be rooted in the values that matter the most to the families of Orange and Osceola counties.”
The Central Florida district, which includes parts of Orange County and Osceola County, is currently held by Democratic State Rep. Leonard Spencer.
Republican Erin Huntley’s professional background includes roles with Walt Disney Parks, JetBlue Airways, and DECA Inc., where she gained expertise in leadership development, education, and human resources. She said her blend of private-sector experience and deep community roots uniquely qualifies her to serve the families of District 45.
