Congresswoman Corrine Brown, along with special guest, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, will host the 2011 Annual Job and Community Resource Fair in Orlando on June 27, at the Amway Center, from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.
In addition to the Job Fair, on-site mini workshops will be available to help job seekers sharpen their employability skills. A number of community resource and social service agencies will be present to share their programs and services with job applicants. Housing foreclosure prevention workshops and additional resources will also be available for seniors and high school and college Students.
“With one in ten Floridians out of work, this is a difficult time for job seekers in Florida and around the nation”, Brown said in a statement. “This job fair represents a tremendous opportunity to network with and speak directly to prospective employers in order to improve your chances of finding a job in this challenging economy.”
Registration is not required but participants are urged to sign-up on the Congresswoman’s website so she can keep in contact before and after the event. Feel free to invite family and friends.
