Authorities have confirmed that the body found in a Lake Nona retention pond Wednesday, is that of missing Orange County mom, Loisisnett Garcia-Rengel.
Investigators do not suspect foul play in Garcia-Rengel’s death.
The Lake Nona mother was last seen walking her children to school along Narcoosee Road on Tuesday morning, but she never returned home. Around 9:19 a.m., the morning, Garcia-Rengel made a 911 call, expresing concern for her children. She placed another call to her daughter around 11:00 a.m., telling her she was unable to collect her from school.
Family members told deputies she suffered from depression and was on medication.
Garcia-Rengel’s body was retrieved from a retention pond on Thursday afternoon, near the Eagle Creek subdivision where she lived.
Autopsy results are being awaited to determine precisely how Garcia-Rengel died.
