Do you have thoughts and ideas on how to make Orlando a more sustainable place to live, work and visit? The City of Orlando is hosting a community meeting to hear directly from residents on ways Orlando can continue to innovate, conserve and protect our environment.
This meeting is part of the City’s second phase of Green Works Orlando, the City’s sustainability initiative to engage everyone who lives, works and visits Central Florida in the effort to “go green.” Residents’ ideas and suggestions will play a key role in helping to shape future policies in the City and ensure Orlando remains one of the most environmentally-conscious cities in the country.
Residents who can’t attend the meeting can still get engaged in the effort by visiting the City’s interactive site at GreenWorksOrlando.com. The interactive site provides questions that residents can answer, second the ideas of others or provide feedback as to how to continue to make Orlando a more sustainable and livable community. Not only will residents be able to express their thoughts and ideas through the interactive forum, participants will also have the opportunity to earn points and redeem them for rewards. The “Rewards Store” will feature things like a tour inside the Lake Eola Fountain, an air boat ride at the Orlando Wetlands Park or an opportunity to choose the color of the Lake Eola Fountain for one night.
