On March 30, 2015, a panel discussion will be held at FAMU Law. It will address (1) the importance of voting, (2) what is being done to restore voting rights after the Supreme Court’s Shelby v. Holder decision, and (3) the harmful impact of felon disenfranchisement on the community.
The panelists include Camara Williams, Founder and Managing Partner of The Williams Trial Group; Natalie Jackson, Partner at Women’s Trial Group; and Desmond Meade, State Director of Faith in Florida’s Live Free Campaign.
The event is cosponsored by the American Constitution Society, Say Yes to Second Chances, and Faith in Florida. The reception begins at 5:30 pm, and the discussion begins at 6:30pm.
