Orange County Commissioners today voted to appoint Commissioner Ted Edwards (District 5), as Vice Mayor for 2013.
The position of Vice Mayor is selected annually by the Board of County Commissioners.
“I appreciate the confidence the Mayor and fellow Commissioners have in me and the responsibility that has been given me; I look forward to the coming year,” said Edwards, following the appointment.
In another vote County Commissioners reappointed Commissioner Ted Edwards from District 5, Commissioner Jennifer Thompson (District 4) and Commissioner Scott Boyd (District 1) to service on MetroPlan Orlando, with Commissioner Pete Clarke (District 3) serving as the permanent alternate.
