A Brevard County woman has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide in the death of a 7-year-old boy.
Christine Chimel, 41, of Cocoa Beach, was taken into custody by Florida Highway Patrol troopers yesterday and booked into the Brevard County Jail.
Troopers say, Chimel is responsible for 7-year-old Hunter Richard’s death. Hunter, a passenger in the ATV died when it overturned on Cangro Street and Osprey Avenue on February 21.
Chimel had a blood alcohol level of .223 % when she lost control of the ATV.
The legal limit is .08 percent.
