A Florida football coach after calling it quits yesterday, Saturday, has changed his mind and would probably return after an indefinite leave of absence.
Urban Meyer, football coach of the Gators, told his team that owing to health reasons he has changed his plan and would take an indefinite break, as opposed to resigning.
Miami Herald: Citing concerns for his health and family, Meyer announced his resignation Saturday but said he would remain in Gainesville and continue to be involved with the university.
Meyer has an arachnoid cyst on his brain, which can become inflamed from stress or excitement. When inflamed, the cyst has caused Meyer considerable pain.
Very shocked to hear this, seems like it came out of nowhere. Glad hes only taking a leave of absence now and will be back.
Hope he gets his health issues straightened out and returns to coaching.
