Ariel Castro, the man who abused three Cleveland women and kept them hostage for 10 years, was today sentenced to life without parole plus 1,000 years in prison.
Castro, who pleaded guilty to 937 counts including kidnapping, rape and murder, appeared in Cuyahoga County for the approximately four-and-a-half hour hearing.
Castor shocked the packed courtroom by stating there was ‘a lot of harmony’ in the house where he trapped and abused Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight.
