A Clermont man is in jail tonight, charged with stabbing another man on Thursday evening, Lake County deputies said.
Investigators responded to 14236 Max Hooks Road in Clermont on Thursday, where they located a man who with multiple stab wounds.
Deputies were able to locate a suspect, Mr. Charles White, while combing the area. Investigators observed blood on White’s clothing.
Witnesses were able to give investigators statements regarding the altercation between White and the victim, who was transported by helicopter to the Orlando Regional Medical Center. Deputies said that the victim was in stable condition up to 8:00 pm on Thursday.
Charles E. White, 48, was arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was booked into the Lake County Jail with a $50,000 bond.
Deputies have not released the name of the victim.
The investigation is ongoing.
