The Florida Civil Rights Association, Orlando Pastors, Civil Rights Attorneys and supporters are protesting and demanding that Florida Commissioner Adam H. Putnam immediately suspend George Zimmerman’s concealed weapons permit.  To this end, a rally and protest will be held on Wednesday.
Earlier today, the FCRA called on Commissioner Putnam to take emergency action to suspend Zimmerman’s concealed weapons permit for his role in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
The public believes that Mr. Zimmerman is not fit to maintain his license because he has demonstrated to be a clear threat to public safety, said J. Willie David, III, president of the Florida Civil Rights Association. We are demanding Zimmerman’s gun permit be suspended and immediately seized by the State.
