City of Orlando to Honor Veterans at 13th Annual Parade

Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Central Florida residents and visitors to join him and his Veterans Advisory Council to honor the courageous men and women of our armed forces at the 13th annual Orlando Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 10, 2012, in Downtown Orlando.

The parade will kick off with a tribute to those who have fought for our country and defended our freedom led by Mayor Dyer and local veterans. This year, the parade will also pay tribute to members of our armed forces who have served or are currently serving in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Mrs. Hay has been a driving force behind the scenes of the Mayor’s Veterans Advisory Council and Veterans Day Parade since 2005.
