City of Orlando accepting applications for Mayor’s City Academy

 

Orlando City HallThe Mayor’s City Academy is a 10-week program that offers citizens an in-depth opportunity to get informed and involved in their City government and community. Participating citizens go behind the scenes of the City Beautiful to learn about some of the services, activities and opportunities the City of Orlando has to offer. The program includes tours of Orlando City Hall and the new Amway Center, interactions with the Orlando Police and Fire Departments, updates about Downtown development, participation in activities with the Families, Parks and Recreation Department and information about the City’s housing and transportation initiatives.

WHO:

Residents of the City of Orlando are encouraged to apply.

WHEN:

The deadline to submit an application is Saturday, February 1st.

The 2014 Mayor’s City Academy will begin on Thursday, February 27th.
