City Celebrating 100 Years on the Green at Dubsdread Golf Course

The City of Orlando is celebrating 100 years on the green at Dubsdread Golf Course.




Dubsdread Golf Course features the oldest public layout in Central Florida, originally designed in 1924 and renovated in 2008.

100 years Dubsdread Golf Course The Centennial Celebration, honoring Orlando’s iconic golf course, will commemorate and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Dubsdread Golf Course. All proceeds benefit youth golf programs to support the local community.

The City of Orlando will look back over the decades of Dubsdread’s legacy and offer a glimpse into the golf course’s future, with a sneak peek at exciting projects.

The event will take place on Thursday, September 12th from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at the The Tap Room at Dubsdread Golf Course, 549 W Par St. in Orlando.



The local event plans to celebrate 100 years of golf with food, drinks, music, games and prizes, to benefit youth golf and help raise the next generation of golfers, according to the city.

Tickets are available online. There will also be a Dubsdread’s Centennial Celebration Golf Tournament to benefit charity on August 17th, with a 9am shotgun start, but registration has closed.

The stories of Dubsdread’s past and present are filled with local lore and legend, world famous sports legends and local heroes. From Carl Dann’s original vision in the early 1920’s, to Tom Bendelow’s original design in 1924, and Mike Dasher’s redesign in 2008, Dubsdread has been a leader in public golf for 100 years.
