Chase has taken over the Orlando Magic’s home court as the official bank, credit card, financial services partner and ATM provider at the Amway Center. The partnership also makes Chase the official financial services partner of the Orlando Magic. The partnership will positively impact the greater Orlando community through military programs, multicultural platforms and improving neighborhood sports facilities throughout the city. The multi-year agreement with the Magic makes Chase a “Champions of the Community” (COTC) sponsor for the franchise and Amway Center.

To celebrate the new COTC partnership, Chase and the Magic will light up the court with Chase blue in a special ceremony on January 18, when the Magic host the Charlotte Bobcats. The following day, Chase and Magic leaders along with Magic guard Arron Afflalo will hit the hardwood at Pine Hills Elementary School to celebrate the refurbishment of their outdoor basketball court– the first joint project to energize local youth and promote sports in the community.

“We are big fans of our local communities and the things that keep our cities vibrant—the energy of the Magic and the modern, youthful spirit of Amway Center are part of what makes Orlando so unique and attractive to locals and visitors alike,” said Mel Martinez, chairman for JPMorgan Chase in Florida. “We are eager for customers to experience what the Chase and Magic brands can deliver together.”

Customers will experience the Chase brand at the Amway Center. Chase will receive prominent exposure at the venue through entitlement of the Chase Club, which encompasses the entire club level, and the Chase Box Office, located on Church St. Also, a total of 10 basketball court refurbishments will be planned by the Magic and Chase leadership in local communities during the tenure of the relationship.

Additionally, Chase will be the presenting sponsor to the Magic’s annual open practice community event and will donate 2,000 tickets among local neighborhoods. Chase also will support the Magic’s annual multicultural platforms and outreach, including Black History Month and Noche Latina. Chase joins Walt Disney World® Resort, GEICO, PepsiCo, Southwest Airlines, Florida Hospital and Harris Corporation as the Magic’s seventh COTC partner.

“As two community-minded organizations, the Orlando Magic looks forward to a long partnership with Chase that will be focused on the Central Florida community,” said Orlando Magic CEO Alex Martins. “Through this new agreement, the Magic and Chase will seek opportunities on local outreach. With Chase as a leader in innovation and financial services, the Magic looks to grow its customer base through our exceptional partner.”
