A 20-year-old Central Florida suspect was recently arrested for attempted murder, following a shooting that caused serious injuries.
On January 26th at approximately 3:40am, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a possible shooting in the 1100 block of Fowler Avenue in Tampa. When deputies arrived on scene, they located two female victims, each with a gunshot wound. Both victims were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Through investigative means, detectives established an altercation had taken place and identified 20-year-old Addy Ortuno Arroyo as the suspect involved in the shooting.
Ortuno Arroyo was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He is facing charges of Discharge Firearm in Public or on Residential Property, Aggravated Battery Great Bodily Harm or Deadly Weapon Firearm – Discharge (x2), Attempted Murder in the First Degree Premeditated Firearm – Great Bodily Harm (x2), Attempted Murder in the First Degree Premeditated Firearm – Discharge, and Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon.
“Our team worked tirelessly to identify and arrest the suspect responsible for this senseless act of violence,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Thanks to our detective’s dedication, this individual will now be held accountable for his reckless actions. We remain committed to seeking justice for the victims and ensuring the safety of our community.”
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
