The Florida Lottery recently announced that Pablo Herrera, of Valrico, claimed a top prize of $2 million from the MONOPOLY Secret Vault scratch-off game.
The Central Florida man chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,153,865.
The Hillsborough County winner turned $10 into $2 million when he purchased his winning ticket from MM Food Mart, located at 2819 E. Highway 60 in Valrico.
The scratch-off game, $10 MONOPOLY Secret Vault, launched in July 2024 and features four top prizes of $2 million. This game offers over $176 million in cash prizes, including 6.8 million winning tickets. There is one top prize remaining according to the Florida Lottery.
The game’s overall odds are 1-in-3.41.
Scratch-off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74 percent of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, scratch-off games have awarded more than $66.9 billion in prizes, created 2,350 millionaires, and generated more than $20.09 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
