Central Florida Man Attacked Victim on Dock, Pushed Him in Water to Die

A Central Florida man who attacked a victim on a dock and pushed him into the water to die has been arrested and charged with murder.

On May 25th, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies began investigating what initially came in as a possible shooting stemming from an altercation in the 500 block of Bahia Beach Boulevard in Ruskin, near Tampa.

When deputies arrived they were unable to locate any signs of a shooting or a victim. Due to a witness statement that someone had fallen into the water following an altercation, the HCSO Dive Team was called in and they recovered a body in the water.

Through investigative means, detectives found there had been an altercation between the suspect, 50-year-old Kamal Padlowski, and another adult male on a boat.

At some point during the altercation the victim left the boat and Padlowski followed the victim onto the dock where he pushed the victim. The victim fell and hit his head on the dock, and Padlowski proceeded to push him into the water.

Padlowski was arrested and charged with Murder in the Second Degree.

“This tragic incident highlights the severe consequences that can arise from acts of violence, and our thoughts are with the victim’s family during this incredibly difficult time,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to ensuring justice is served, and we will continue to investigate this case thoroughly.”
