Central Florida Man Arrested for Threatening to Kill President Trump

A Central Florida man was arrested for threatening to kill Republican President Donald Trump.




20-year-old Nick Guadalupe Cruz-Lopez, of Plant City, was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with making a threat to kill the President of the United States.

According to the complaint, Cruz-Lopez posted the following photo on his Instagram account, which stated, “MAGA Otw to kill trump” and showed Cruz-Lopez in a vehicle holding an AR-15 style rifle:

Federal agents located Cruz-Lopez that day and arrested him.

If convicted, Cruz-Lopez faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison.

This Florida case was investigated by the United States Secret Service. It will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Ross Roberts. United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe made the announcement.
