A man was arrested for the Central Florida deadly shooting at a hookah bar near Kissimmee.
On December 25, 2023, at approximately 4:50am, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office responded to Café Lungo, located at 3262 Vineland Road, Kissimmee, Florida, to a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived on the scene, they located the victim deceased at the location. The Medical Examiner later ruled the death as a homicide.
Through an extensive investigation, evidence was obtained to indicate that Gabriel Alberto Correa shot and killed the victim, according to law enforcement.
Detectives discovered surveillance video of the shooting itself and additional evidence left by the suspect.
Last week, Correa was apprehended and interviewed at the Polk County Substation.
With the assistance of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Gabriel Alberto Correa has been charged with:
- Murder with a Firearm,
- Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle,
- Discharging a Firearm in Public and
- Improper Exhibition of a Firearm.
“My homicide detectives did a fantastic job tracking down and locating the suspect,” said Sheriff Marcos Lopez. “They were determined and dedicated to solving this case and providing a rapid resolution to the community. I want to thank my deputies, the Violent Crime Unit, Tactical Unit, Narcotics Enforcement Team, Tourist Policing Unit, Osceola Narcotics Investigation Bureau, and the State Attorney’s Office for solving this case.”
