A Central Florida Fire Rescue Lieutenant and his wife were arrested for sexual activities with a 16-year-old victim.
After a thorough investigation, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested 39-year-old Sascha Engel, a Hillsborough County Fire Rescue lieutenant, and his wife, 37-year-old Alyssa Engel, on August 22nd after they forced a 16-year-old victim to engage in sexual acts with the couple.
On April 27, 2024, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office became aware of the incident that occurred in March 2024 at a married couple’s residence in Riverview near Tampa.
“It is both disgusting and deeply disappointing to see not one, but two adults join together to take advantage of a young child, especially when one of those adults is a trusted authority in our community,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “This egregious violation of innocence is disgraceful and goes against every value we stand for in this community.”

Alyssa Engel is facing charges of Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor (x3).
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
