The 101st Annual Central Florida Fair kicks off Thursday, February 28th with the Opening Day Ribbon Cutting Event at 6:00pm. The Central Florida Fair Board of Directors will be hosting the invitation only event for local dignitaries and community leaders to enjoy a taste of everything the community has grown to love for the past 101 years.
This year’s fair is buzzing with entertainment, contests, rides, games, fair food and special performances by national recording artist Travis Porter, JKing & Maximan and Trapt. The Fair will host the Sixth Annual Invitational Cattleman’s Ranch Rodeo and the Fourth Annual Youth Ranch Rodeo. All this exciting entertainment is free with Fair admission of $12.00 for adults, $6.00 for children (6-10yrs) and FREE for children under 5! Continuing to offer excitement and value with quality entertainment, the Central Florida Fair is bringing in Dale Scott’s “Future of Magic” show, Hambone Express Racing Pigs and the interactive Movie Stunt Adventure Show. Television reality star and Professional Mounted Shooting Competitor Denny Chapman from Season 1 of History’s ‘Top Shot’ will provide Wild West Entertainment and Mounted Shooting exhibitions March 6 and 7, and will host an exciting Mounted Shooting competition on Friday March 8. All of these new and exciting shows are FREE with Fair admission!
With the changing landscape of the economy, the Fair has embraced these times and is continuing to offer family fun at an affordable price! High school and middle school students will once again get all pumped up by cheering on their school’s Step Team at the Power 95.3 Step Battle Step Show hosted by Lil Shawn from the Obie and Little Shawn Morning Show on Friday, March 1th at 7pm on the entertainment stage.
In addition to all the new and exciting entertainment Fair-goers will experience, the Central Florida Fair still carries on its longstanding tradition of showcasing Livestock, Creative Arts, Fine Arts, Food Arts & Sciences, Horticulture, FFA and 4-H through a wide array of exhibits and interactive demonstrations designed to educate and amuse guests of all ages!
