Central Florida Driver Arrested after Fleeing 38 Miles from Traffic Stop

A Central Florida driver was arrested after fleeing 38 miles from an attempted traffic stop.

A Volusia Sheriff’s Office deputy in the area of SR 415 and Howland Boulevard initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration.

The driver, later identified as 25-year-old Timothy Breedlove of Altamonte Springs, sped up and began weaving through traffic, heading north on SR 415 to SR 44 to I-4.

After about 38 miles and a stop stick hit, which eventually caused both passenger side tires to come off the rims, Breedlove finally pulled over in Sanford, where he was taken into custody.

Two young children were in the back seat during the incident. They were upset but not injured. Their mother, who was in the passenger seat, told deputies she asked Breedlove to stop and think about the children’s safety.

According to law enforcement, Breedlove was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement, 2 counts of aggravated child abuse, 3 counts of false imprisonment, and driving with a suspended license. He was also issued citations for fleeing, running a red light, expired vehicle registration and driving on a suspended license.
