April is Child Abuse Prevention Month and to recognize this critical cause Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer is hosting the Child Abuse Prevention Press Conference at Orlando City Hall’s Rotunda on Thursday, April 17. Children’s Advocacy Centers for Orange, Seminole, Osceola and Brevard Counties (along with leading government officials from those counties) will jointly announce Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) offer a child friendly – family centered model for coordinated identification and treatment services for survivors of abuse and neglect.
Child abuse is the leading cause of death for children under the age 4 and these Central Florida leaders will come together to raise critically important awareness of this issue and declare their personal commitment to Child Abuse Prevention.
